Community Impact: Frazier Revitalization Project

Design & Strategy

Design-Led Strategy for Neighborhood-Scale Change

In South Dallas, I partnered with the Frazier Revitalization initiative to help reimagine how thoughtful design, disciplined planning, and scalable systems could support affordable-housing development at a neighborhood level.

My role went far beyond surface-level interiors. I developed a comprehensive, design-led framework intended to streamline construction, protect limited nonprofit budgets, and create repeatable standards that could be deployed across multiple homes—without sacrificing dignity, beauty, or long-term durability.

❋ Neighborhood-Scale Design Systems

Curated tiered interior and exterior design packages—ranging from essential to elevated—allowing builders and funders to clearly understand cost, scope, and upgrade paths before construction began. These packages reduced late-stage change orders and helped align homeowners, contractors, and stakeholders from day one.

❋ Builder-Ready Documentation

All selections were translated into clear, construction-forward deliverables: finish schedules, material standards, fixture packages, and specification sets that contractors could price accurately and execute efficiently.

❋ Cost-Control & Value Engineering

With nonprofit realities front and center; structured bulk-purchase strategies, vendor relationships, and upfront procurement plans designed to stabilize pricing and minimize delays—helping every dollar go further without compromising quality.

❋ Community-Centered Design Vision

Each home was approached with the belief that residents deserve spaces that feel intentional, aspirational, and rooted in pride. My design direction balanced warmth, longevity, and neighborhood identity—ensuring the revitalization effort felt human, not institutional.

Community Advocate in Action

Design is not decoration—it is infrastructure.

When design decisions are made early, documented clearly, and aligned with budget realities, they become a powerful lever for community transformation. The Frazier Revitalization project demonstrated how creative vision paired with operational rigor can unlock sustainable development at scale.
